Quick Fact: September 9th is celebrated as 'Grandparents Day'.
The relationship between the grandparents and grandchildren is underrated. With the increase in the number of nuclear families, Most the children are just restricted to occasional visits to their grannies place.
People have moved on with changes in lifestyle and also have been oblivious to human relationships and their grandparents. Our childhood tends to be bleak without spending time with grandparents. It makes me sad, when I see children who are ignorant about their grandparents. Also, Few parents turn clever and just have grandparents at home just to take care of their child as they go to work.
I was fortunate enough to spend time with my grandparents(paternal and maternal) which is a rarity nowadays.Grandparents bring in a lot of experience and also help in inculcating good habits. They actually love us more than we think.I still feel they pamper their grandchildren more than anyone else.I am sure you must have had the best time when you visited your grandparent's place. They would have showered you with love and food. The best stories would have been told by your grandparents.
Please give it a thought and let your kids spend time with their grandparents and please do take good care of your parents.
Remember, You will also become one of them(grandparents).
Is it even called a 'family' without grandparents and parents. ?
A thought passed through my mind when I was having a conversation with one of my friends. I am a big movie buff and also an avid reader. I started to analyse what helps me to be rational and increase creativity. Movies are attractive and are pleasing to our eyes. Books, on the other hand, they are just plain text and a lot more tedious. Comparing both books and movies, Books give us time to imagine also helps to increase creativity. For example, Looking at an orange shown and imagining an orange written in the text are two different things. For both of us, Orange can be different. If you see it in a movie, it is just how it is shown. There is no time for creative juices to flow. You have to see what the director wants you to see. Just think, what is your forte? What do you enjoy most books/movies? I have given the reason why I love books more than movies.:)
